The Bedroom
You should never be surprised by someone entering your bedroom so position your
bed in a way that it is elevated and the door is always visible, but avoid
placing it in direct line with the door.
In Chinese culture this is called the "mortuary position" (because of the way
dead bodies were placed when awaiting burial) and is said to be bad luck.
Also if the room has two windows or a window and a door directly across from
each other, don't place the bed between them. There is a strong flow of chi
between the two and that much energy flowing over a person while they sleep can
cause illness.
The bedroom is no place for a TV, in fact avoid having any electronics in the
room at all and if they must be there keep them in an armoire or as far away
from the bed as possible.
Relationships
To improve a relationship invest in pink sheets. Colors like red, pink and peach
stimulate feelings of romance and empower feelings of love and tenderness.
Also get rid of mementos from a past relationship, they can create bad energy
which your current significant other can pick up on.
To attract a partner introduce things in pairs into the bedroom like nightstands
and bookends.
Wood - Vitality and health is what you will find when you are using Wood
elements in your home.
The Wood element expresses a healthy and abundant energy that promotes growth,
which in turn promotes wealth.
Having colors such as green and brown in the Eastern areas of your space help
this aspect of your life.
Kitchens and bathrooms topped the list of the most important rooms to
keep clean for women while men thought that the lounge where televisions and
gaming equipment are housed was the second most important room after the
kitchen. Bathrooms topped the poll as the most annoying room in the home to
clean and kitchens were thought to be the hardest.
Here are a few tips to keep her in a romantic mood.
Rooms are often not dirty they are just untidy. Keep surfaces clear so it
will only take a few minutes to wipe over everything with a damp cloth to get
rid of any spillages, soap scum, or water marks.
Polish taps and/or appliances in each room with a dry clean cloth to give it
that extra sparkle and it will look like you have been cleaning all afternoon.
Invest in good quality cleaning equipment such as dusters and cloths as this
means dust and spills are collected first time and you don't need to go over the
same areas again and again.
With windows, wipe one side horizontally and the other vertically so you can
spot which side streaks are on and don't waste time cleaning the wrong side!
Deal with spillages right away as once it's dried it's much harder to deal with.
Enlist support! Don't be tempted to tackle the whole house by yourself. Give
each family member responsibility for a room each and you'll blitz through the
house in no time!
Make it fun! Cleaning is a chore but cranking up the music and singing along as
you sweep will help make time fly.
Count the calories. Invest in a pedometer to measure how much ground you cover
as you clean and think about those extra pounds dropping off as you dust.
You partner will feel less tired and more responsive to sex and romance.
